Privacy Policy

This privacy notice tells you what to expect when we collect personal information. It applies to information we collect about people who enquire about or make a booking of our cottage.

1. What information do we ask for?
We do not collect more information than we need to fulfil our stated purposes of making a booking of our cottage.We will not retain the information for longer than is necessary. You don’t have to provide what we ask for but it might affect your ability to book our cottage if you don’t.
If you contact us a via telephone, email or social media, we will not share that message with any other party unless on lawful grounds.

1.1 Direct Booking form
If you choose to make a booking through us or make queries about a potential booking we will collect details that you provide in relation to that booking or query. Information held is likely to include your name, contact details, payment details, age if under 25, information about people travelling with you, information about your booking and any additional information we may need to help meet your specific requirements.

1.2 Bookings via a cottage booking website

2. How do we use your information?
The information you provide may be used in a number of ways, for example:
• to enable us to complete your booking;
• to inform you about an incomplete booking;
• to manage your queries; and
• to help us to provide details or information you may have requested. e.g. how to enter our cottage on arrival.

3. On what legal basis will we process your information?
We will always process your personal information on lawful grounds.

4. Who will you share my information with?
We do not routinely share your data with anyone else.
If we are not going to be available during your stay in our cottage, we may share some of your data with a key holder. We will always inform you if this is the case. This person will have your name and telephone contact only. We will give you the person’s name and contact details also.
We may use and disclose your personal data without your permission in connection with any legal proceedings, to prevent crime and in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.

5. How long will we hold your information for?
We have a system of retention periods in place to ensure that your information is only stored whilst it is required for the relevant purposes or to meet legal requirements. Where your information is no longer required, we will ensure it is disposed of or deleted in a secure manner.

6. Access to personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold at any time. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
